Odor Control and Air Quality Monitoring Cloud System Case Study: Laogang Landfill – Full-Site Odor Elimination and Environmental Monitoring Cloud Operations

The Laogang Landfill covers a large operational area with widespread odor dispersion, making it difficult for existing monitoring methods to cover the entire site. Additionally, detecting low-concentration odors presents technical challenges. The project implements a full-site odor control system and an atmospheric environmental monitoring cloud platform. Using 4G technology, real-time data from the site is transmitted to a proprietary cloud platform. Local control stations and the cloud operate collaboratively with bidirectional data exchange, preventing monitoring interruptions caused by single-link failures. The system also integrates GPS vehicle tracking and real-time video surveillance, displaying vehicle locations, live site footage, and odor concentration levels on a unified dashboard. This enables optimized scheduling of odor control equipment based on wind direction and active work zones. The project resolves 0.1ppm odor concentration detection challenges, allowing identification and recording of data fluctuations under low-concentration conditions. This provides critical data support for optimizing odor control operations and environmental regulatory oversight.

The whole-site odor control system and atmospheric environmental monitoring data are uploaded to the cloud platform via 4G. The local control station and cloud operate together, enabling real-time maintenance and data exchange. GPS vehicle positioning and real-time video surveillance are integrated, solving the detection challenge of 0.1ppm odor concentration.

Data Scope and Validation Source: The above metrics are derived from on-site measurements under identical operating conditions before and after the retrofit (comparing energy meter readings with equipment operation logs). The statistical period covers 30 consecutive days of full operation post-retrofit. Motor energy efficiency ratings follow GB 18613-2020 and IEC 60034-30-1, while product efficiency values are cited from the manufacturer's factory test reports. Actual results may vary based on load rate, annual operating hours, and specific operating conditions.
