Pengke EC Fan Air System Energy-Saving Solution

Punk Electromechanical Equipment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. is a mid-to-high-end fan supplier originating from Germany with independent design and manufacturing capabilities. We provide impellers, fans, and professional air system energy-saving solutions. Our products are TÜV NORD certified and comply with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 quality management system requirements. Panpu Electric serves as an authorized distributor for Punk fans, handling selection, supply, and after-sales support for this solution in the East China region. The core function of HVAC systems is to regulate heating and cooling for the environment, making them critical in large office buildings, industrial manufacturing, biopharmaceutical facilities, electronics and semiconductor plants, and nature-controlled environments such as aquatic animal exhibits in zoos. Maintaining both heating and cooling simultaneously requires rapid and stable airflow. Traditionally driven by AC motors, these systems suffer from low efficiency and high noise, making them increasingly unsuitable for modern demands. EC fans utilize electronically commutated permanent magnet synchronous motors with integrated motor drives. The impeller connects directly to the motor, eliminating the need for belt replacement or lubrication for maintenance-free operation. Compared to traditional outer rotor designs, the inner rotor EC configuration with integrated electronic cooling technology offers a compact structure without sacrificing efficiency, providing superior thermal stability to achieve "minimum space, maximum performance." In data center or HVAC module fan applications, this design can reduce installation depth by several centimeters, significantly lowering material and space costs. Control-wise, EC fans support stepless speed control with precise adjustment and a slip rate of 0.1%. Control signals range from 0~10VDC or 0/4~20mA, while feedback signals are 0~10VDC or 0/4~20mA. Standard MODBUS-RTU protocol compatibility matches RS485 buses, and digital terminals allow for fan start/stop control. Safety features include automatic shutdown upon rotor lock detection, optional speed control and alarm signal output, over-voltage protection, reverse polarity protection, rotor lock protection, and overheating protection. With an IP55 protection rating, these fans operate stably and efficiently in diverse environments. Terminal areas are safely isolated from electronic components using high-quality plug-in terminals for easy wiring. Individual components can be repaired or replaced separately, effectively reducing maintenance costs. Matrix fans (fan arrays) allow flexible parallel operation of multiple EC fans based on unit airflow requirements. A single fan failure does not impact overall system airflow, and speed can be adjusted in stages according to load, delivering significant energy savings at partial loads. Selection is supported by Punk's FAN Master intelligent software. Its engine integrates authentic performance curves and test data for the entire fan product line, combining a product database, performance calculation, and report generation. Enter key parameters to instantly receive a list of compatible models, automatically calculate operating points to avoid human error, and compare energy consumption and costs to recommend the most cost-effective solution over the full lifecycle. Generate PDF/Excel technical selection reports with one click for immediate submission and procurement. Installation considerations: Installing fans within enclosures may degrade air performance compared to free-air or non-enclosed optimal conditions. To prevent performance loss, adhere to the following spacing requirements (D2 = nominal impeller diameter): distance from suction-side components LA ≥ 0.5×D2, distance from pressure-side components LD ≥ 1×D2, and internal unit installation space A ≥ 1.8×D2 (minimum A ≥ 1.5×D2).

Use Cases:HVAC supply and exhaust systems, precision cooling for data centers and server rooms, cleanroom HVAC for biopharmaceutical and semiconductor facilities, air handling units for large office buildings and industrial manufacturing workshops, nature-mimicking controlled environments (e.g., aquatic animal exhibits in zoos), cooling tower and equipment heat dissipation airflow systems, and EC motor retrofits for existing AC external rotor fans and belt-driven fan systems.

Solve pain points

01Traditional AC motor-driven fans suffer from low efficiency and high noise, failing to meet modern HVAC and cleanroom requirements.
02Belt-driven fans require regular belt replacement and lubrication, resulting in high maintenance demands and airflow reduction due to belt slippage.
03Fixed-speed fan operation leads to significant energy waste when actual load is below design capacity.
04The external rotor relies on natural airflow for cooling, which can create internal turbulence and degrade aerodynamic performance.
05Tight space constraints in data centers and HVAC modules: axial fan depth directly increases material and space costs.
06Multiple wind turbines lack a unified communication interface, making load-based tiered regulation and group control difficult.
07Manual selection from catalogs leads to calculation errors at operating points and lacks data for energy consumption and cost comparison.
08Insufficient clearance between the fan and the enclosure, leading to degraded airflow performance, was not identified during the design phase.
