JUMO AutomationJUMO Wind Power Humidity Sensors and High-Pressure Monitoring
Humidity Sensor (JUMO, Model 907032): Ideal for simple two-state control of relative air humidity. Requires no separate power supply and is virtually maintenance-free thanks to specially prepared plastic fibers. Used for temperature and humidity monitoring inside wind turbine nacelles and towers to prevent moisture accumulation and subsequent corrosion damage. Also employed for two-state humidity control in substations to ensure safe operation. High-Pressure Transmitter (JUMO MIDAS H20 HP): Monitors the braking system of wind turbines. During operation, deceleration is achieved by adjusting the rotor blade pitch angle. For safety or emergency stops, manual shutdowns, and maintenance or repair work, the drive shaft can be stopped via disk brakes monitored by pressure. This transmitter features a mechanical, highly elastic measuring system using diaphragm technology. Its combination of a wide measurement range and compact design makes it stand out in applications. CANopen Pressure Transmitter (JUMO CANtrans p): Measures pressure in the hydraulic system of the rotor pitch system. Paired with threaded RTDs for monitoring hydraulic circuit temperatures. Compatible Temperature Sensors: Surface-mounted RTD (Model 902550, with CANopen output), Insertable RTD with connection cable (Model 902153), J-type threaded RTD (Model 902030/80), Platinum chip temperature sensor (Model 906121, compliant with DIN EN 60751), heatTHERM panel-mounted temperature switch (Model 602031), and bimetallic temperature switch (Model 608301). These are used respectively for rotor blade temperature monitoring, blade heater protection, gearbox oil temperature and level monitoring, and generator winding temperature measurement. Applications: Rotor blade anti-icing monitoring, nacelle and tower temperature/humidity control, gearbox oil temperature and level monitoring, generator temperature monitoring, high-pressure monitoring of braking systems, and temperature/humidity control in substations.
