Our products serve industries including environmental protection and energy saving, clean energy, HVAC, food machinery, pharmaceutical machinery, petrochemicals, power generation, and rail transit. This solution targets the HVAC sector, covering five application scenarios: condensing boilers, solid fuel boilers, pellet heating systems, combined heat and power (CHP), and air-source heat pumps. **Condensing Boilers** Condensing boilers are a classic system in heating technology, utilizing oil-based fuels such as petroleum or natural gas. Fuel is burned in the combustion chamber, releasing heat and exhaust gases. Heat is transferred to water via tubes within the combustion chamber, while waste heat from exhaust gases preheats water in the condenser to maximize fuel efficiency. Strict hygiene standards require precise temperature control of the circulating water, which must remain between 60°C and 55°C. JUMO temperature sensors provide a safe and reliable solution for monitoring this parameter, applicable across all heating equipment. Typical configurations include: * MIDAS S05 OEM Pressure Transmitter (Model 401010) * heatTHERM Panel-Mounted Thermostat Switch (Model 602030/31) * miroTRON Electronic Thermostat with optional PID dual-mode control (Model 701080/81/90/91) * STB/STW Safety Temperature Limiters and Monitors (Model 701150) * safetyMTB/TW 08 Built-in and DIN-Rail Mounted Temperature Limiters and Monitors compliant with DIN EN 14597 (Model 701160/701170) * Resistance Thermometers (Model 902006) * Screw-in Resistance Thermometer with Type B Terminal Box (Model 902020) * Insertion Resistance Thermometers (Model 902150) * hydroTRANS Series Humidity and Temperature Transmitters (Model 907042/43/44/45) **Solid Fuel Boilers** Solid fuel heating inevitably involves high temperatures and open flames, making a permanently reliable protection system critical. Solid fuel boilers can utilize various fuels, including wood, drawing air through natural ventilation. Depending on the system, combustion intensity increases or decreases after fuel enters the chamber; thermal energy is then output via a heat exchanger to heat the system water. These boilers often work in tandem with condensing boilers. The flue gas monitor ATW controls the start/stop sequence of both systems, ensuring only one generates heat at a time. Placed in the solid fuel boiler's exhaust pipe, the ATW automatically shuts down the condensing boiler when temperatures reach 80°C. The heatTHERM-AT Surface-Mounted Thermostat Switch (Model 603070) is suitable for new boiler installations. Other configurations include: * MIDAS S05/S06 Multi-range Differential Pressure Transmitters (Model 401010/401011) * OEM Pressure Transmitters for non-corrosive gases (Model 402006) * Differential Pressure Monitors for air smoke and exhaust (Model 404201) * flowTRANS US Series Ultrasonic Flow Meters (Model 406050/406051) * Screw-in Thermocouple Type J with Terminal Box (Model 901030) * Screw-in Resistance Thermometer with Connection Cable (Model 902050) * Surface-Mounted Resistance Thermometer with Connection Cable (Model 902550) * Armored Thermocouples with Compensation Cable (Model 901250) **Pellet Heating Systems** Measurement and control systems are indispensable in all heating applications, including pellet heating. System selection and capacity design depend entirely on customer requirements and site conditions. In large-scale pellet systems, fuel and wood pellets are fed into the boiler via screw or suction feeders. Combustion is ignited by an electric spark and sustained by the continuous supply of combustible pellets. Generated heat warms the system water. Unlike traditional chimneys that vent exhaust directly, modern systems route exhaust through a heat exchange system to recover heat for the water loop. The higher the heat output, the more critical it becomes to continuously and accurately control the system temperature, especially in real-time. The diraVIEW Digital Indicator series provides real-time temperature readings with configurable minimum and maximum limits to ensure safe operation. Screen text color changes dynamically from red to green (or vice versa) to intuitively indicate process status. **Combined Heat and Power (CHP)** CHP plants generate sufficient electricity for daily use. Due to their complex internal structure, component coordination is vital. JUMO measurement and control systems ensure all components operate within correct temperature ranges. Typically, CHP plants use internal combustion engines or diesel engines to drive generators, converting mechanical energy into electrical energy. Water cooling prevents engine overheating, raising coolant loop water to 80–90°C. A heat exchanger transfers excess heat to the heating loop. Preheated water at 70°C absorbs waste heat from the engine exhaust via a waste heat converter, reaching a final operating temperature of 90–100°C. Safe and reliable engine operation depends on lubrication and cooling systems, where temperature and pressure are key parameters. To maintain safety, oil pressure and temperature must stay within limits. For instance, a minor overpressure in the cooling loop can raise the coolant boiling point to 115°C. Temperature must be strictly monitored; thermostats can detect critical temperatures and cut power without auxiliary power to ensure equipment safety. Typical configurations include: * ATH Series Surface-Mounted Thermostat Switches (Model 603021) * variTRON Central Processing Unit (Model 705002/705070) * LOGOSCREEN 601 Touchscreen Paperless Recorder (Model 706521) * VIBROtemp Screw-in Resistance Thermometer with Plug Connector (Model 902040) * JUMO Cloud and smartWARE SCADA IoT Solutions (Model 701810/701820) **Air Conditioning & Heat Pumps** In modern buildings, residential HVAC systems provide comfortable indoor environments. Since these systems consist of indoor and outdoor units, measurement and control requirements differ accordingly. Air conditioners operate on the Carnot principle, typically involving two units (indoor and outdoor). Refrigerant circulates continuously between them: evaporating indoors to absorb heat, then traveling as vapor to the outdoor unit. When the outdoor ambient temperature is lower than the refrigerant's temperature, heat is released to the outside, and the refrigerant condenses into a liquid before being pumped back indoors. This principle allows the system to function as a heat pump during intermediate seasons when outdoor temperatures range between 5°C and 15°C, helping to reduce heating costs. Preventing freezing in the outdoor unit is critical. The frostTHERM-AT Anti-Freeze Thermostat (Model 604100/604170) handles this task effectively. Its extra-long sensing probe is coiled around the outdoor unit; any temperature change within a 30 cm length of the probe triggers the sensitive switch. If a preset temperature is reached, the switch activates the heating element or shuts down the entire system to prevent freezing. Additional configurations include: * heatTHERM P300 Three-Phase Panel-Mounted Thermostat (Model 602090) * Insertion Resistance Thermometer (Model 902150) **Services and Support** JUMO offers four categories of support: Manufacturing Services, Documentation & Training, Product Services, and Maintenance & Calibration. * **Manufacturing Services:** Tailored for clients requiring competitive and efficient supply of systems or components, whether small batches or mass production.
